BlendJet Recall
Dear Customer
BlendJet 2 Portable Blender Recall
BlendJet Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain BlendJet 2 portable blenders (the “Units”/”Unit”) (pictured below). BlendJet determined that the bases in certain older blenders can overheat or catch fire, and the blades can break, posing fire and laceration hazards to consumers.
@Home may have sold affected units to its customers.
BlendJet has voluntarily undertaken this recall effort and we strongly encourage you to participate.
Hazard
The recalled Units can overheat or catch fire, and the blender blades tips can break off, posing fire and laceration hazards to consumers.
Remedy/Solution:
- A free replacement base being delivered to you directly; alternatively
- Should you wish for a full refund, you may return an affected Unit to your nearest @Home store together with the proof of purchase thereof.
What to do:
- Check the serial number on the base of your Unit bought from @Home. Should the first four digits of your serial number be between the numbers 5201-5542 (example pictured below), your Unit may be affected;
- Stop using the affected Unit;
- Contact BlendJet via the contact details provided below; and
- Should your Unit be deemed affected by the recall, you can elect to either opt to:
- have the affected base replaced with a replacement base. Should you select this option, @Home will advise you accordingly; or
- return the entire Unit, together with your proof of purchase, to your nearest @Home store for a full refund.
