CHEF JUAN’S EASY PICNIC SANDWICH
INGREDIENTS
Long French Baguette
Butter
Cucumber
Salami – best quality
Gouda cheese
Butter lettuce or Iceberg lettuce
Basil pesto, best quality
METHOD
Cut the baguette in half, lengthwise and butter on both sides.
Spread pesto on the bottom half..
Layer the baguette with cucumber, salami, lettuce and thick slices of gouda cheese.
Don’t forget to season the cucumber with a little salt and pepper.
Cut into equal pieces and wrap in sandwich paper.
Serve with fruit skewers, biltong, pretzels and hummus.
