COFFEE RECIPE: IL SICILIANO WITH ESPRESTO
Inspired by Italian island Sicily, famed for its citrus fruits, this delicious coffee cocktail is the perfect summer after dinner drink.
60ml Sweet vermouth (preferably Italian)
45ml Amaro (Italian herbal liqueur)
45ml Espresso (shot and a half), allow to cool
30ml Sugar syrup
Orange, cut into slices
To make sugar syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, stir until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.
Combine vermouth, Amaro, cold shot of Espresto espresso, and sugar syrup in a tumbler. Add ice and top up with soda water, give it a stir with a swizzle stick and garnish with orange. Salute!
