  • 4 green apples (skinned, cored and diced)
  • 4 tablespoons cinnamon-sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup flour
  • 60 g butter, cut into small cubes
  • 60 g sugar

Filling method

Arrange diced apple pieces in four individual oven-proof bowls

The pieces should be heaped rather than in a single layer

Top each with 1 teaspoon of butter

Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Crumble method

Add the flour, cubed butter and sugar to a mixing bowl

Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour and sugar until it resembles breadcrumbs

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes

Turn up the heat to 200°C for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly
