GREEN BEANS ALMONDINE

 INGREDIENTS

500g fine green beans, trimmed

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup slivered almonds

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Salt to taste

METHOD

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large bot. Add the green beans and cook until al dente. Drain the beans and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan, add the almonds and sauté them for a few minutes until they start to brown.
  3. Return the green beans back to the pan and toss to coat. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over, season to taste.
