  • 15 ml (1 Tbsp) smoked olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 10 ml (2 tsp) smoked paprika
  • 500 g pasta shells
  • 1 l (4 cups) fresh cream
  • 200 g finely sliced biltong
  • 250 ml (1 cup) grated cheddar cheese
  • 250 ml (1 cup) grated mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, to garnish


Heat the Instant Pot Pro to a medium heat on sauté mode, sauté the onions for about 5 minutes, add the garlic and smoked paprika and sauté for another 2-3 minutes while stirring.

Add the pasta and cream, close the pot and cook for 35 minutes on the grain setting of the Instant Pot Pro or until the pasta is cooked.

Once the pasta is cooked, add the biltong and cheese and gently mix everything together.

Season to taste and garnish with fresh basil and a drizzle of the smoked oil.
