RECIPE: ICED COFFEE DONE TO PERFECTION

Ingredients

For the Espresso Ice Cubes:

  • 500 ml (2 cups) espresso coffee
  • 250 ml (1 cup) full cream milk
  • 250 ml (1 cup) fresh cream
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla paste

For the Burnt Caramel Ice Cubes:

  • 310 ml (1 cup + ¼ cup) espresso coffee
  • 45 ml (3 Tbsp) Barista Boys Burnt Caramel Syrup
  • 250 ml (1 cup) full cream milk
  • 250 ml (1 cup) fresh cream
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla paste

For the Red Chai Ice Cubes:

  • 176 g (8 x 22 g sachets) Red Espresso Instant Chai Latte
  • 875 ml (3 ½ cups) hot water, just boiled
  • 250 ml (1 cup) full cream milk
  • 250 ml (1 cup) fresh cream
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla paste

Method

For the Espresso Ice Cubes:

Once you have made the espresso coffee – allow to cool to room temperature, pour the coffee into two medium sized ice cube trays and freeze until set for 6 hours or overnight.

To assemble the iced coffee, mix the milk, cream, and vanilla together.

Pop the ice cubes out of the ice tray and divide in your glasses, top with the milk mixture, and serve.

For the Burnt Caramel Ice Cubes:

Once you have made the espresso coffee – allow to cool to room temperature. Add the Burnt Caramel Syrup and pour the coffee into two mini sized ice cube trays and freeze until set for 6 hours or overnight.

To assemble the iced coffee, mix the milk, cream, and vanilla together.

Pop the ice cubes out of the ice tray and divide in your glasses, top with the milk mixture, and serve.

For the Red Chai Ice Cubes:

Combine the chai latte powder with about 1/3 of the boiling water and mix well with a whisk to avoid any lumps from forming. Add the rest of the water and allow to cool to room temperature. Pour the mixture into extra-large ice cube trays and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.

To assemble the iced chai latte, mix the milk, cream, and vanilla together.

Pop the ice cubes out of the ice tray and divide in your glasses, top with the milk mixture, and serve.
