WINTER 2018 COLOUR TRENDS

 In Trends

Autumn/Winter 2018 sees earthy hues abound, interspersed with rich jewel tones on the one end and softer pastel shades on the other. The classic, core Pantones include a creamy white staple, Tofu; natural camel hue, Almond Buff; and a highly adaptable toasty burnished brown, Meerkat.

We see these trends translate in décor with colours from deep teal and indigo to natural linen, cream, powdery clays and blush. Louise Vorster, @home Trend Inspiration and Product Developer, shares an effortless and effective way to incorporate or accentuate the season’s colours in your home, “Choose a statement wall and paint it in a dark moody colour like anthracite – and make sure the skirting boards are in the same colour. This allows statement furniture to pop out and dramatically shows off your accessories.”

And you’ll want to show off the season’s furniture and accessories! – with sumptuous fabrics like velvet and faux fur coming through in occasional chairs, cushions and throws.
